Spotlight: Forecast Designs

forecast designs furnitureI just love social media! A couple of days ago I was playing on Pinterest, when I saw that my friend Patti Fore had pinned a beautiful table. Someone commented to ask where she bought it, and she replied, “I built it!” My jaw hit the floor. I tabbed over to Facebook to look up her profile, saw she started a business page, and just about died when I saw these:

Is this not completely stunning? Patti Fore is the brilliant mind (and hands) behind these beauties. I asked her for a little info about the pieces, since it’s all so new her website isn’t even quite live yet! Here’s the skinny:

• Price range: $500-$1500, depending on the size and style – the larger the frame and more intricate the wood pattern, the higher the price based on time and hard costs. My concept is that a customer can choose the pattern they want for the wood table top, then tell me what kind of table they want (side, coffee, dining, console) and the exact dimensions they need to fit their space – so it’s completely customized one-of-a-kind.

• Dimensions for the tables in the photos:

Large coffee table:
56″ L x 40″ W x 18″ H

Small coffee table:
48″ L x 20″ W x 16″ H

Side table:
21″ x 21″ x 21″

There’s nothing I love more than to see someone start a business doing something they love. It’s the cherry on top to find out that it’s a friend, and a woman! Because, hey, there just aren’t enough ladies out there hitting the saws, and I’d love to see that number increase. I’m going to have to save up to commission a piece for my own home very soon!

If you’d like to see more of her work (and inquire about snagging your own!) hop on over to her Facebook page and become a fan! You can also keep up with her soon-to-be-launched website.

WHOA! I am absolutely beyond in love with all of these tables! I’ve been thinking about working a table in our house… and now I might be able to do a spin off of this one… hmm…
