As we get closer and closer to actual construction (we have portapotties! and a dumpster!) I’m finally getting to start my actual inspiration boards. I putzed around with Polyvore and templates for a while before the frustration got to me, so I went to my old standby, Photoshop! It’s my first inspiration board, so please forgive me if it’s a little crazy. These things are a lot harder to do than they look!
For Charlie’s big girl room, I want to change things up a bit from the teal and lime we’ve done at her past two rooms. This time we’re going for bright, sunshiny yellow! I want to do a nice big sunburst on one wall behind her bed. It’s going to be so much fun.
Ready for the breakdown? Here we go!
2) DIY Shabby Chic Rag Valence
4) Be Inspired print from Bijou Lovely – my inspiration for the room!
5) Grandma’s Vintage Rocker made over with Amy Butler fabric
What do you think? It’s a pretty big change from the teal, but I think the lime green still works really well. I’d like to pull in some orange and pink as well. They’re not your typical “girl” colors, but once it’s put together it’s going to be very bright, fun, and feminine!
